# Payment Methods

> Fiat payment methods supported by merchants on Sendovex.

## How fiat payment works

Fiat (ETB) payment on Sendovex is a direct transfer between buyer and merchant. Sendovex does not process or hold fiat. The buyer sends ETB directly to the merchant's bank account or mobile wallet using whichever method the merchant accepts.

The specific payment method for each trade is set by the merchant in their listing.

Not every merchant accepts every method. Check the listing detail before initiating a trade to confirm your preferred method is available.

## How to pay

1. After escrow is funded, the trade screen shows the merchant's payment details (account number, name, phone number).
2. Open your bank app or telebirr and send the exact ETB amount shown.
3. Return to Sendovex and tap **I've Sent Payment**.
4. Wait for the merchant to confirm receipt and release escrow.

## Payment disputes

If you sent fiat but the merchant claims not to have received it:

1. Do not try to cancel the trade.
2. Take a screenshot of your bank transfer receipt showing the date, time, amount, and recipient.
3. Open a dispute from the trade screen and attach the evidence.

A Sendovex admin will review both sides and decide the outcome based on evidence.

<Warning>
  Always send the exact amount shown in the app. Sending a different amount may cause the merchant to dispute the payment.
</Warning>
